A future wilderness built on a traditional history

A modern Highland Estate in the midst of the spectacular scenery of Glen Etive and Glencoe

Dalness Lodge

The doors to Dalness are only open for a limited number of weeks each year.
For that time, the lodge — and everything beyond it — becomes yours.

Set within the quiet of Glen Etive, this is not simply somewhere to stay, but somewhere to settle into.
To understand, slowly. To return to, each evening, as the light fades from the glen.

The house sleeps up to fifteen.
Rooms are arranged across the upper floors, each one looking out across the estate.
Beds are prepared before you arrive. Fires are lit as the evening draws in.
After a day outside, there is always somewhere warm to return to.

Downstairs, the house gathers people together.
There are rooms to sit quietly, and others that fill as the night goes on.
The table is long. Dinner is unhurried.
The fire is never far away.

Availability is limited. Enquiries are taken privately.

Altchourunn Cottage sits quietly by the river.

A former stalker’s cottage, restored with care, it remains simple in all the right ways.
Warmth comes from the stove at its centre. The rest follows naturally.

Inside, everything is arranged as it should be. An open space for cooking, eating, and settling in as the day draws to a close.
A bed set deep for a proper night’s sleep.
A place to return to, without distraction.

Outside, the river runs close by. You hear it before you see it. Fast-moving water, cutting through the trees.
Pine and birch give shelter. The hills rise beyond.

Glen Ceitlin is found deep among the hills.

Once a shepherd’s cottage, it has been carefully restored to offer something simple, warm, and entirely removed from the pace of everyday life.

Inside, the cottage is warm and comfortable.
A living room anchored by a wood-burning stove. A separate kitchen made for unhurried meals. Two bedrooms, arranged for four people to rest well.

Windows open onto wide, uninterrupted views of the surrounding landscape.
Forest, river, and hillside move with the weather. Nothing stands still for long.

Reached by a long track that winds along the river. This is a place for stepping away completely.
