Set apart from the main house, the cottages offer a quieter way to experience the estate.

Each cottage sits within its own corner of the glen — close to the river, or held back against the trees — with a sense of space that feels entirely its own.

They are smaller, simpler places to stay.
But no less considered.

Days begin without urgency, and unfold as they will.
By evening, as the light fades, the fire is lit, and the landscape settles again around you.

Glen Ceitlin is found deep among the hills.

Once a shepherd’s cottage, it has been carefully restored to offer something simple, warm, and entirely removed from the pace of everyday life.

Inside, the cottage is warm and comfortable. A living room anchored by a wood-burning stove. An adjoining kitchen made for slow and intentional cooking. Two bedrooms, arranged for four people to rest well.

Windows open onto wide, uninterrupted views of the surrounding landscape. Forest, river, and hillside move with the weather.

Reached by a long track that winds along the river. Not suitable for low slung vehicles, 4×4 preferable. This is a place for stepping away completely.

Altchourunn Cottage sits quietly by the river.

A former stalker’s cottage, restored with care, it remains simple in all the right ways.

Inside, everything is arranged as it should be. Warmth comes from the stove at its centre.  An open space for cooking, eating, and settling in as the day draws to a close.

A bed set deep for a proper night’s sleep.

A place to return to, without distraction.

Outside, the river runs close by. You hear it before you see it. Fast-moving water, cutting through the trees. Perfect for a paddle, or a dip for the adventurous.

Pine and birch give shelter. The hills rise beyond.
