Dalness House is a large holiday home available for let on a flexible and exclusive basis for family holidays, sporting holidays, corporate events and special occasions.
Dalness House, built in 1884 and recently refurbished to the highest standard, provides modern living whilst retaining much of the traditional Scottish Highland Estate character. The imposing Victorian Lodge is a house for all occasions and all seasons, where guests can choose to relax in comfort, or enjoy a variety of outdoor pursuits.
Sitting in an enviable river-side position in the midst of the spectacular scenery of Glen Etive and Glencoe; Dalness Estate extends to 13,000 acres, boasts five Munros and offers a wide range of outdoor activities including hill walking, salmon and sea loch fishing, clay pigeon shooting, powerboat trips and deer stalking.
A stay at Dalness is fully staffed, including a dedicated house manager and chef; who are committed to making a visit to Dalness a most memorable experience. However, we understand that our guests will want to have the privacy and freedom that staying in such a property as Dalness deserves. The principal of "there when you need us and not when you don't" is very much how we operate.
The house is only ever let on an exclusive basis, so the privacy of our guests is guaranteed.
Getting to Dalness Estate
In contrast to the remoteness of many Highland Estates, Dalness is surprisingly accessible: 6 miles off the A82, 17 miles from Glencoe Village and 32 miles from Fort William.
Glasgow Airport is under and Edinburgh Airport just over two hours away. Alternatively the overnight sleeper train from London Euston stops at Bridge of Orchy station on the West Highland Way – a 30 minute drive from the Lodge. Private chauffeur driven transfers can be arranged.
