Here at Dalness we want you to be able to fully unwind and enjoy what the house and surrounding area has to offer; which is why we provide you with the services of a dedicated in-house chef to fulfil all your culinary needs. This service means that none of your party will have to worry about the shopping, cooking or clearing away.
Whether you require a formal four-course dinner, a serve it yourself home cooked fish pie or a buffet; the chef will liaise with you to tailor a bespoke menu to suit a budget that works for your party.
A typical day at Dalness would begin with a hearty breakfast, to prepare you for the activities that lie ahead. Those planning a strenuous day on the hill might opt for porridge followed by a full Scottish; and those having a more relaxing day might select from the lighter continental options available.
Lunch very much depends on the plan for the day. It might be a packed lunch for the hill, a picnic to be taken on the boat or riverbank, or a warming bowl of soup in the dining room.
Whatever your day’s activities, be it out by the loch or beside the fire, you will be met with a delicious afternoon tea.
The evening might start with canapés in the drawing room, and be followed by a full three-course supper. Why not take this opportunity to sample some of the finest fresh local produce found of the west coast of Scotland – the venison, salmon and shellfish are a must.
Finally, for those that have room, we would encourage you to sample some of the many local Scottish cheeses; followed by coffee and chocolates in the drawing room.
